Rising Tides
A newsletter about the brands, stories, and ideas worth paying attention to.
Rising Tides started as a simple belief: that where we spend our money matters. That the stories we tell matter. And that there are brilliant, intentional creators out there building something beautiful — who just need more people in their corner.
For the past year and a half, this newsletter has been my space to do exactly that. Each issue spotlights a BIPOC or women-led brand, often through a direct conversation with the founder — their path, their purpose, the why behind what they make. But Rising Tides is also where I write honestly about the things I'm still figuring out: identity, motherhood, what it means to move through the world with intention.
It's personal. It's joyful. And it's always rooted in the belief that we all thrive when we lift one another.

LIFT: Contemporary Expressions of the African American Experience.
An award-winning exhibition commissioned and imagined by Katie Colley that brought together contemporary Black artists to explore identity, joy, and justice — and became one of the most attended exhibitions in the museum’s history. LIFT received the Gold Award from the 2017 Southeastern Museum Exhibition Competition.

Level Forward
I’m partnering with Level Forward, a public-benefit media company, to executive produce a short film centered on the Black maternal health crisis. The film is a fictional story designed to humanize and bring urgent attention to the systemic inequities facing Black pregnant women and the people who love them — joining Level Forward’s mission to amplify brave storytelling that sparks conversation and drives cultural and social impact.
